Family Business of the Year 2018

2018 is a very special year for our business as we are celebrating 40 years! It is also special because we won the Inspired Herts Family Business of the Year 2018 award.  The award was given to our business as we demonstrated how we use our unique core values to aid growth, demonstrate best practice and overcome any challenges to provide business excellence.

Sarah Smits, Finance Director of Ashbourne Insurance & Inspiring Herts Business Award Sponsor/Judge said,

“As a family run business supporting Hertfordshire businesses and residents for the past 37 years, we completely relate to the company values and ethos that MCP Property Services described in their excellent award application. I felt that MCP represented the best of successful local, independent and family run businesses. MCP put their staff at the heart of their business together with supporting the local community. They thoroughly deserve the Family Business of 2018 award.”

Although this award was given to us as recognition of our family values and achievements, it also celebrates the relationships that we have built with our customers and all of those in the communities that we serve. Our heartfelt thanks goes to each and every one of you.

Supporting Young People Award

MCP were finalists in the 2018 Herts Business Awards for the ‘Supporting Young People’ Award. This award recognises the commitment given to helping young people through education and into employment.

  • Our entry highlighted the many ways in which we help young people to discover their capabilities and flourish in the workplace.  We showed how we:

·        Support and nurture young people though apprenticeships and work experience

·        Go into schools and colleges to talk about the diversity of roles available for boys and girls in housing repairs, maintenance and construction and how the industry can offer them a career and security for the future

·        Help young people to gain confidence through experience

·        Support young people in the community, with a particular emphasis on giving disadvantaged youngsters a lifeline through work opportunities

·        Support charities such as Herts Young Homeless and Teens Unite

·        Utilise young minds in terms of technology know-how and creativity

·        Involve young people in fun days out, school talks, fundraising events, sporting events and training

We’re proud of the work that we do to support younger generations, but most of all we are proud of all of the young people who have come through our doors with a dream, prepared to work hard, and for helping to keep us all young!
