We are currently seeking a Skilled Handyperson to join one of our key client’s properties. Are you a friendly, helpful individual with a positive can-do attitude who can apply a variety of skills to keep the property functioning efficiently? Your role will include:
Identifying damages caused by tenants and working closely with the Property Manager to ensure there is a good upkeep of all rented properties
Performing inspection of the premises and ensuring that any hazardous conditions are remedied
Carrying out ongoing preventative maintenance programs
Performing routine maintenance tasks such as changing bulbs, PAT testing and repairing doors/windows
Resolving and repairing routine plumbing repairs including unblocking toilets, sinks and urinals and fixing water leaks
Conducting basic repairs to the building including painting, installing/ replacing light bulbs, and basic carpentry
‘Magic man’ skills: repairing hard surfaces such as worktops, kitchen units, baths, shower trays, window frames, floors, doors etc
Moving and assembling furniture and equipment
Reporting any acts of vandalism to the Property Manager
Removing building waste and recyclable materials in a safe manner
Clean and clear properties when tenants move out.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of working within a similar role.
- A personable, professional and highly customer focused style of working whilst able to handle challenging situations and people.
- A high level of personal presentation and standard of work is essential. You will be courteous and polite at all times and you will be friendly and approachable, enabling you to build relationships with residents whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
- An ability to be organised, you will be capable of planning and prioritising your workload effectively and you will be willing to go above and beyond to assist the Property Manager and residents.

Salary £28,000.00 – £30,000.00 depending of skills and experience
