MCP is very proud to announce that we have signed up to the ‘Make a Stand Supporters Pledge’ in support of the ‘Make a Stand Campaign’, which has been created by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) in partnership with Women’s Aid and the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance, in order to stand against domestic violence.
The Make a Stand Supporters Pledge Campaign is aimed at organisations that work in or closely with the housing sector but don’t provide homes. MCP is committed to customer care, and as contractors we enter people’s homes daily, so we are in a better position than most to recognise any areas of concern. Our procedures already ensure that our team members are fully trained in how to identify signs of domestic violence and how to go about reporting them.
MCP were therefore thrilled to be able to make our pledge support this vital campaign which will not only help to raise awareness, but will also provide assurance to our customers and residents that personal safety in the home is a priority to us and we will take any necessary action to protect anyone who is deemed to be at risk.
