As members of the National Housing Contractors Forum, MCP were incredibly proud to be part of and co-present a workshop at the National Housing Maintenance Forum (NHMF) Maintenance Conference in Birmingham on 22nd and 23rd January, attended by over 300 delegates.
Our presentation and workshop was jointly put together with PiLon and AD Construction, and was focused on The role of the Contractor – Getting the Right Fit.
With an audience of 80 delegates, the session was predominately based around the end-to-end process of procurement and how, in collaboration with Clients, Consultants and Contractors, we can improve what can sometime can be a painful process – especially if it’s not carried out correctly.
A few months prior to the event, we sent out a questionnaire to a number of Clients, Contractors & Consultants. The results delivered some interesting findings and enabled us to start a conversation about the importance of getting procurement ‘right first time’.
We are very pleased to say that the feedback following the conference was fantastic and met with great enthusiasm from all parties.
Follow up events
With the topic being so popular and of such importance, we will be continuing the conversation at further round tables and working sessions throughout the year. The next event, which is yet to be confirmed, is scheduled to be at the Chartered Institute of Housing – Total Housing Conference in Brighton in March.
We hope that you will be able to attend the next event. However, if you would like any further information on the above events or topics, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
