The residents of four different sheltered housing schemes in Castle Point, Essex, enjoyed a special visit in December from members of their MCP community maintenance team.
The Residents' Days were organised by MCP Property Services to give the residents an opportunity to personally meet and get to know their MCP team, and the chance to ask questions or raise any concerns about their home maintenance.
Held on the 8th and 15th December, the Residents Days were hosted by MCP’s Contracts Manager, Glen Roff, and Aaron Cowan, our Planner and Resident Liaison Officer. Resident ‘handyman’ and Maintenance Supervisor, Ali Sigdeniz, was also on hand to carry out any small repairs that residents needed doing. Any additional or larger tasks were booked in on a separate planned repair day.
Whilst visiting, the team also took details of any repairs that fall outside of our contract so that we could report them back to Castle Point Borough Council after the visit.
Little gestures of goodwill enjoyed by all!
As a small token of thanks for coming out to meet us, we gave each resident a little gift bag that included small treats such as trolley tokens and mugs. And, along with a nice warm cuppa, we also treated our guests to some mince pies, biscuits and chocolates!
The feedback that we received during and after the events has been great. The team on the day, and our regular operatives, were complimented on their helpfulness and the respect that they showed to residents, along with very good feedback about our quality of work.
We’re already planning to host more Residents Days in the coming months, and we will look forward to meeting many more of the residents that we so enjoy working for.
