With a lifelong passion for supporting local communities through social value initiatives, it’s no surprise that our Chairman, Mick Clarke, was out fundraising in Hoddesdon on St. George’s Day on 23rd April.
Mick was fundraising for teenage cancer charity, Teens Unite, at the St. George’s Day festival and parade in Hoddesdon. The event attracted thousands of people over two days who enjoyed a wide range of activities and celebration parades.
MCP regularly helps to raise funds and give support to Teens Unite, including offering work placements or apprenticeships to some of the young people who have recovered from cancer. Last September MCP took part in a charity talk on football at Paradise Park, and we help to promote their other fundraising activities.
Mick managed to collect £140 for Teens Unite which was, as always, gratefully received (as was the rest for his feet at the end of a long day for Mick!).
