Providing helping hands for Herts Young Homeless

2018-09-04

MCP is very proud to be a supporter of Herts Young Homeless, a unique charity that provides services that support 16-24 year-olds who find themselves in vulnerable situations.

The charity, which was established in 1998, offers a variety of FREE services to all 16 – 24 year olds who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, and also offer a Health Service which has no upper age limit.

MCP supports the charity by opening doors of opportunity for young people through work experience, helping them to learn about trades and experience a working environment. These opportunities can also lead to apprenticeships to help them to get on the first rung of the employment ladder. We also provide in-home assistance when settling into accommodation for the first time. This might be plumbing in a washing machine or replacing light bulbs. These small gestures of help will help give these young people more confidence and stability going forward.
