MCP Property Services proudly carry out a wide range of maintenance services in properties in and around Gurnell Grove, on behalf of the London Borough of Ealing.
When it comes to everyday home maintenance tasks however, some fall outside of the property maintenance contract which means that residents may incur a cost.
To help residents avoid extra expenses, and because we know that some basic home maintenance jobs can be a bit of a challenge, MCP’s maintenance team decided to hold a series of handy ‘show and tell’ workshops, to teach local residents how to resolve day-to-day maintenance issues in their homes.
With the full support and help of the Gurnell Grove community team, residents were invited by MCP to come along to our workshops where our plumber Michael, and our carpenter Divyesh, demonstrated how to change a tap washer, how to change a toilet seat and even how to change a barrel lock.
They answered questions and gave tips on all kinds of home maintenance, and also explained what to do in case of a maintenance emergency.
Getting hands-on!
The demonstrations were enjoyed by residents of all backgrounds and ages, and then it was their turn! The tools were handed over to residents who thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and certainly left knowing more and feeling more confident about tackling home maintenance tasks.
A big thank and well done to Michael and Divyesh, and of course the whole team that helped to organise the home maintenance workshops, manage the communications and for providing refreshments.
MCP will be hosting more workshops in Southall and Northolt in the coming months.
