We are very pleased to announce that we have secured a place on two new framework contracts, and we have been entrusted with an additional 12,000 properties by an existing client, resulting in a combined contract value of £50.5 million boosting our business growth plans.
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council
We are delighted to have secured a place on Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council’s Void Repairs and Post Tenancy Repairs to Housing Framework. The 4-year framework is divided into 6 Lots by geographical area, with MCP securing Lot 6 in Smethwick.
The contract, our first to be secured in the West Midlands, commenced in August 2022 and we are excited to begin establishing ourselves within the local community and working with new customers to deliver a number of social value projects, the first of which involves partnering with a local school in Smethwick, where we will be talking to the students about trade skills and the employment and training opportunities available.
The contract will run until the end of July 2026.
Red Kite Community Housing
We are also excited to extend our service delivery into High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, by securing a place on Red Kite Community Housing’s Planned Works Framework.
MCP, among other framework partners, will be delivering a series of planned works to approximately 6,500 homes over the next 4 years, carrying out kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, window and door installations and electrical works.
We look forward to supporting Red Kite Community Housing in meeting their social value targets and developing relationships with new community partners located in the High Wycombe area.
Both framework contracts were secured following a competitive tender process, demonstrating our high standards of work and service delivery.
Network Homes
Network Homes, part of the G15 Group of London’s largest housing associations, has over 20,000 properties. MCP has a long-standing relationship with Network Homes which started back in 1978 when we provided property repairs and maintenance services for their very first sheltered accommodation for older people.
Since then, MCP has reliably looked after their social housing properties in East London, North London and Hertfordshire, and now we are thrilled to have been awarded an extension of contract that covers West London, Northwest London and Southwest London – an additional 12,000 properties.
The new contract starts in January 2023, bringing the total contract value to £47.8 million.
Managing Director Mark Gelder, said “Being awarded these new contracts is in line with our vision to grow the MCP brand not just in our traditional regional area but also into new regions. In particular, the significant extension of our contract with Network Homes is a testament to the trust and confidence that they have in MCP. As specialists in the social housing sector, we feel privileged to work with so many people who, like us, care deeply about housing standards and the wellbeing of people in the community. We look forward to continuing to provide service excellence across all these new regions.”
